World Environment Day Poster Competition
To celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, an anniversary unprecedented in British history, we invited North-East eco-warriors aged 9–13 to participate in our World Environment Day poster competition.
Sustainability has always been a priority for the Queen; therefore, what better way to celebrate the Jubilee than to help raise awareness of World Environment Day on 5 June 2022.
This year’s theme for World Environment Day is ‘Only One Earth’. The campaign calls for action on a global scale to celebrate, inspire, protect, and restore our planet. Small changes can make a massive difference, from walking more to limiting your use of single plastic items and eating plant-based dishes. We can all play our part to help save the environment.
Seven schools from the Northeast entered our competition to design a poster to highlight ‘World Environment Day.’ Congratulations to Jacob and Alex from Sir Charles Parsons School for their winning design and their catchy slogan: ‘Helping Hands Help the Planet’ which captured the ethical message of World Environment Day.
Their design is featured on our gift card wallets, which can be purchased from our Customer Service desk outside of Fenwick.
