Elf Fun Run
Get ready to spread some Christmas cheer and join us for the Elf Fun Run on Sunday, December 1st in Eldon Square! This family-friendly 1k run will take you on a festive route around the centre. Plus – every child participating will receive an Elf hat, rosy cheeks, and a medal to commemorate the event!
Date: Sunday 1 December
Time: The registration desk will open at 8:30am and the Elf Fun Run will start at 9:15am, please ensure you arrive promptly to register before the race begins.
Meeting location: The race will start near to the Northumberland Street entrance and travel up to St Andrew’s Way and back. All customers will need to purchase a ticket for the event, on-the-day registrations will not be accepted.
What to Expect:
- The Race: Join us on our 1k Elf Fun Run around Eldon Square.
- Elf Attire: All runners will receive an Elf hat and rosy cheeks to wear during the race!
- Music & Warm-Up: Our friendly Elves will lead a warm-up session with festive Christmas music to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
- Medals for All: Celebrate your finish with a medal!

- Can I cancel my booking? Please email [email protected] if you wish to cancel your booking.
- Do you accept walk-ins?– Walk-ins are not accepted on the day. Please book a ticket to guarantee your place. Tickets cost £3 per person, and all the money raised will be donated to the Newcastle United Foundation.
- I am an adult, do I need a ticket to accompany my child? Yes, all children and adults require a ticket for the event, and all children must be accompanied on the run. Babies do not require a ticket (up to 12 months). Anyone wishing to receive the Elf hat and medal must register for a ticket.
- When should I arrive? The registration desk will open at 8:30am at the Northumberland Street entrance only. The race will start promptly at 9:15am. Late entries will not be able to participate in the event and will not be able to receive a refund.
- What is the minimum age? –This event is aimed at 4- 12 years old.
- Is there a time limit on the fun run? Yes, due to the centre opening at 10am, we have a time limit of 45 minutes to complete it. We will have a last walker, so no one will be left behind.
- Is the event wheelchair accessible?– Yes, we ask that all wheelchairs wait until the last wave to start the race.
- Can I bring a buggy? Yes, we will have a buggy park to leave your buggy, or you can push your buggy around the run; we ask that you wait until the last wave.
- Tickets are showing as unavailable. How do I book? If you see this message, the event has reached its total capacity. Unfortunately, there are no more tickets available.
- Will there be music and flashing lights? Yes, Christmas music will be playing, and flashing disco lights will be on display at the start of the race.
- Will I see Santa? Santa will not be attending the Elf Fun Run
- What will I receive for taking part? All entries taking part will receive an elf hat, rosy cheeks (optional) and a medal for completing
