Autumn Dining at Eldon Square
Autumn’s finally here, the cosy knits have started to come out of the wardrobe, the leaves are beginning to fall and the air will soon be full of the aroma of comforting bonfires and spiced apples.
So, after digging out your favourite winter coat and venturing outside, Eldon Square is here to offer you a host of autumnal offerings, as our cafes and restaurants release their fall-inspired menus filled with warming drinks and spicy taste sensations.
Starbucks
After making its long-awaited return, why not try your first Starbucks Pumpkin Spiced Latte (available now from £3.65) of the season paired with the all-new Toffee and Apple Muffin or Espresso Roast Blondie? For those who prefer their autumn refreshments cold, try the Iced Salted Maple and Caramel Latte from £3.65.
Chaophraya
Chaophraya are also feeling autumnal with their new lunch menu launch featuring some sensational seasonal specials including spicy fish cakes, sweet and sour chicken and chicken Thai tacos, as well as, their new Thai red vegan curry including butternut squash, spinach and sweet Thai basil.
No matter what the weather outside, you’ll feel all toasty and warm inside with Chaophraya.
Pizza Express
New autumnal arrivals to the Pizza Express menu start with a twist on the iconic Sloppy Giuseppe – the Spicy and Vegan Giuseppes and an import from Pizza Express Dubai, the Tikka Paneer pizza complete with tikka spiced paneer, roasted peppers, sweet red onion, fresh chillies and mozzarella served with mango chutney and coriander yoghurt.

Greggs
A Geordie favourite, Greggs has enhanced its menu with the addition of six new autumn items including the hearty spicy chicken and red pepper soup (from £2.20) with a mix of chunky vegetables, Cajun spices and chilli, this lunchtime delight is not only warming but also two of your five a day!
There are also three options to entice vegans this fall, including a Vegan CheeZe and bean toastie, vegan chicken-free goujons and a vegan southern fried chicken-free baguette all for under £3.50. Fancy a sweet treat? Indulge with the return of Greggs bat biscuit and pumpkin spice latte.
Wagamama
Having achieved the target of a 50% plant-based menu last year, Wagamama is set to continue adding to its offering. New to the menu this season are the vegan-friendly yasai gyoza ramen and for meat eaters, the chicken gyoza ramen dishes, prepared fresh with noodles, bok choi, vegetable broth and chilli sambal paste – both packed with flavour and surprisingly low calorie.
Or for those with a sweet tooth, try the mix-and-match dough chi; cookie dough balls with an ice cream centre garnished with passionfruit sauce, mint and icing sugar. Yum! Of course, you can still get your go-to dishes with the all time favourite chicken katsu curry and Yaki Soba still firm favourites on the menu.
Costa
Costa has taken comfort to the next level with its Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate & Light Dairy Swirl, after all, what chilly autumn evening would be complete without a hot chocolate? Ideally paired with the all-new Maple & Hazelnut Muffin made with real maple syrup and packed with nibbed hazelnut!
Keeping to the warming theme this fall, why not try the new Steak & Mexicana Cheese Toastie, made with British pulled beef, spicy Mexicana cheddar cheese, caramelised onion and mustard sauce in a cheese-topped bloomer? Good news sweet treat lovers! The annual favourite Gimme S’mores Cake has also made its long-awaited return.
Nando’s
Keeping it saucy this autumn, Nando’s have added a seasonal Pimenta Baste to its offering this year, sat just between mild and medium heat, this option combines the usual Peri-Peri spices with a delicious peppery flavour to liven up a gloomy autumn day.
After much anticipation the butterfly burger has made its return – packing a protein hit of 66g to please most gym goers, this menu stalwart has been absent for a hot minute, but now it’s back!
The Alchemist
For those looking to get out and socialise for the evening this autumn, The Alchemist is using October’s sustainable month to launch its new sustainable cocktail menu on the 17 October. All the usual theatrical tipples are still on the menu, with a few new faces and exciting twists on old classics thrown in for good measure.
