When John James Fenwick opened his store as Mantle Maker and Furrier in 1882 on Northumberland Street, he did so with a commitment to luxury, an uncompromising eye for quality and the passion to serve his clients with the very best he had to offer.

Afternoon Tea at Arthur’s
Treat yourself to an irresistible Afternoon Tea with a Fenwick twist. Begin with your choice of fine tea, aromatic coffee, or a flute of bubbly with our Sparkling Afternoon Tea. Next up are the delicately prepared sandwiches with a variety of fillings followed by the freshly prepared patisseries and miniature scones – best enjoyed layers of creamy clotted cream and a generous dollop of Fenwick’s very own jam.
Arthur’s Afternoon Tea is served every Saturday, with sittings available at 2pm, 2.30pm, 3pm, and 3.30pm.

Café 140
Swing by Café 140 and dive into a celebratory menu of crowd-pleasers from Fenwick’s illustrious past. The Café 140 chefs have re-invented joyful classics for their 140th birthday: from Chicken Waldorf Salad and Prawn Cocktail to Peach Melba and Knickerbocker Glory, there’s something to tempt you from brunch to cocktail hour. Leave the three-ring circus behind while you linger over a light bite or a decadent dessert.

Sunday Roast at Arthur’s
Nothing beats a Sunday roast and Arthur’s at Fenwick has prepared a spectacular feast. Whether you’re refuelling after a long winter walk, catching up with friends, or enjoying quality family time, a spectacular roast dinner is the perfect way to round off the weekend.
Arthur’s restaurant at Fenwick Newcastle offers a hearty Sunday roast with all the trimmings. There’s something for everyone, from a sirloin of beef to a nut roast.
Enjoy the quintessential British meal every Sunday. Sittings are available at 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.30pm, and 2pm.
Priced at £25 for one course, £30 for 2 courses per person.
