A world of adventure, imagination and family fun is landing at Eldon Square this Easter, as we unveil an exciting new Reading Corner in partnership with the National Literacy Trust in the North East.
From Friday 3 April to Friday 17 April, between 11am and 3pm each day, the Community Quarter will be transformed into a vibrant, feel-good space where stories leap off the page and into real life. Think cosy corners filled with brilliant books, hands-on Easter crafts, and plenty of opportunities for little imaginations to run completely wild.
Whether it’s blasting off on a space adventure, discovering magical worlds, or meeting colourful characters, the Reading Corner is designed to make reading feel exciting, playful, and full of possibility. It’s a place where families can slow down, share stories and create special moments together during the Easter break.
