Newcastle is set to come alive with music this autumn as the Mercury Prize Fringe 2026 takes over the city from 15–22 October.
Delivered by Generator and supported by Newcastle City Council, the week-long programme features more than 30 events across some of the city’s most iconic venues. Expect live performances, workshops, discussions, masterclasses and creative experiences celebrating the very best of Newcastle’s music scene alongside emerging and established artists from across the UK.
The Fringe leads up to the prestigious Mercury Prize Awards Show at Utilita Arena Newcastle on Thursday 22 October, where artists from this year’s 12 ‘Albums of the Year’ shortlist will perform live before the overall winner is announced.
