Delight in the delicious tastes of the past. Enjoy Georgian-inspired food and drink at the Drovers Tavern, traditional fish and chips from Davy’s in The 1900s Pit Village or Middleton’s in The 1950s Town, scrumptious treats from Herron’s Bakery, sweets from Jubilee Confectioners, ice cream from John’s Café, sweet shop-inspired flavours from Beamish Delicious Ices and locally-sourced fare from the Tea Rooms.

Enjoy a trip back in time and stay in our Georgian-style holiday cottages, located in the stunning 1820s Landscape. 

The two self-catering cottages, Potter’s Cottage and Drover’s Rest, feature furniture and items from our collection along with modern conveniences for modern-day guests! 

Stays in the accommodation include admission to the museum during opening hours. The cottages can each accommodate up to two guests, and Potter’s Cottage is dog-friendly.
