Designed to offer more than a traditional fan zone, the World Cup Social will have a range of flexible ticket options. Guests can opt for free general admission or book tables and food and drink packages to make a day of it, with spaces suited to groups, including a dedicated family-friendly area to ensure it’s accessible for all.

Food and drink sit at the centre of the Freight Island experience, with 12 independent kitchens and three bars spread across the venue. The line-up brings together well-known Newcastle favourites, including I Scream for Pizza, Meat:Stack, Miso and FAB Bakery, alongside celebrated Northern independents serving everything from Asian fusion and Greek live-fire cooking to Caribbean dishes, pies and desserts. A wide-ranging drinks offer will include Two by Two Brewing, cocktails and a sustainability-led wine programme, creating an all-day food and drink destination designed for everything from casual drop-ins to big group occasions.
The opening hours are: Thursday from 12pm until 11pm, Friday from 12pm until 1am, Saturday from 12pm until 1am, and Sunday from 12pm until 11pm.
