NE1’s Restaurant Week is one of the most popular foodie events in the North East, with an abundance of restaurants offering delicious deals. This year’s Restaurant Week will take place from 7 – 13 August.

Many Eldon Square restaurants will be involved with unmissable food offers to get you salivating, from fine dining to fully loaded burgers and more.

Outdoor dining in Newcastle at Eldon Square

With the weather heating up and Summer steadily making its way closer, eating outdoors is looking more and more inviting. A number of our Eldon Square bars and restaurants have wonderful outdoor areas for you to enjoy a bite to eat or a thirst-quenching drink, al fresco. Read on to find out where you can enjoy some outdoor dining in Newcastle at Eldon Square.

Chaophraya’s Roof-Top Terrace

With one of the best views of the city from their outdoor roof terrace, there’s nowhere better to experience Thai cuisine other than Chaophraya. Enjoy the national dish of Thailand with a vibrant Pad Thai, or try out a hand-crafted, authentic Thai cocktail that will have you dreaming of those summer holiday getaways.

Chaophraya is encouraging guests to book in advance as their stunning outdoor area is in high demand.

Fenwick – Roof Thirty Nine

Fenwick has taken alfresco dining to a whole new level with their fabulous rooftop bar and restaurant, Roof Thirty Nine, situated in the heart of the city. Grab a bite to eat from their delicious seasonal charcoal-fired menu or sip a bespoke muddled cocktail in the British sunshine.

There is no need to book, walk-ins are welcome! All you need to do is visit Roof Thirty-Nine, speak to a member of staff and they will call you back when your table is ready!

The Alchemist – Nelson Street

The Alchemist’s outdoor area is serving up its classic signature cocktails and dishes including Vegan options. Enjoy tasty treats with an Alchemist twist including Cheeseburgers, Katsu Curry and Crispy Fried Halloumi or sip on Pina Co-Lava Lamp in the sunshine with their delicious menu full of cocktails.

The Alchemist is available for walk-ins only so, there’s no excuse not to pop in and grab a post-shopping trip refuel.

Nando’s – Old Eldon Square

Enjoy your peri-peri fix while embracing the glorious sunshine this Spring, as Nando’s is serving up their dishes in their sun-trapped outdoor dining area. Whether you like yours extra hot, or you’re more of a lemon and herb type, enjoy it al fresco with Nando’s outdoor dining in Newcastle at Eldon Square!

With no need to book just turn up and you could be enjoying your peri-peri favourite within minutes!

The Real Greek – Old Eldon Square

Tuck into endless authentic Greek dishes at The Real Greek including Souvlaki, Mousaka, and Gyros, while enjoying the sunshine in their beautiful outdoor seating area on Old Eldon Square. Their delicious lunch menu starts from only £9,50 per person! Students can also enjoy 25% off their meals!
