Sephora Eldon Square: Opening Event
Join us for the grand opening of Sephora, the global beauty phenomenon, in Eldon Square Newcastle on Friday 13 September at 9.13am. The much-anticipated opening event will be a fantastic celebration with live music, entertainment and of course – shopping all your favourite beauty products!
For all the eager beauty-fans, we have a plan in place for queuing ahead of the opening.
Sephora store location: St Andrew’s Way, opposite New Look.
Thursday 12 September
- Eldon Square will be open to the public for queuing the night before the grand opening.
- The Northumberland Street entrance (only) will be open from 9pm on Thursday 12 September. All other entrances will be closed.
- Bag check will be in place for those queuing overnight from Thursday 12 September. Bag check will take place upon arrival.
- The following items are not permitted: knives or sharp objects, drugs or alcohol and no smoking or electronic cigarettes.
- All Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
- You will be allocated a numbered ticket upon arrival. It is your responsibility to make sure you keep your ticket safe, as this confirms your place in the queue.
- Once you have your ticket, you cannot leave the centre and then return to your spot in the queue.
- You can bring food and drink into the centre for the duration of your time queueing.

- The other retailers in the centre will be opening as normal, from 9am – 7pm, with restaurants open even later, on Friday 13 September.
- The toilets will be accessible for people in the queue.
Friday 13 September – Grand Opening Event
- In true Sephora style, the centre will be buzzing with entertainment and live music throughout the opening event – you won’t want to miss it! Enjoy fantastic giveaways, samples and more.
- The first customers will receive goodie bags – follow @sephorauk for more details!
- Goody bag wristbands will be allocated on Friday 13 September by the Sephora team.
- The centre will fully open from 6 am on Friday 13 September.
- Sephora will officially open at 9.13am on Friday 13 September. The store is located on St Andrew’s Way, opposite New Look.
Friday 13 September – evening
- The centre will close at 7pm on Friday 13 September and reopen at 9pm, if you wish to queue overnight for the store opening on Saturday 14 September at 9am.
- You can bring food and drink into the centre for the duration of your time queueing.
- You will be allocated a numbered ticket upon arrival. It is your responsibility to make sure you keep your ticket safe, as this confirms your place in the queue.
- Once you have your ticket, you cannot leave the centre and then return to your spot in the queue.
- Bag check will be in place again for those queuing overnight on Friday, from 9pm.
- Bag check will take place on arrival to queue from the Northumberland Street entrance – this will be the only entrance that will be open at this time.

- All Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Saturday 14 September
- Eldon Square will open all entrances from 6am on Saturday 14 September.
- In true Sephora style, the centre will be buzzing with entertainment and live music throughout the day.
- Sephora will open its doors at 9am.
- You will be allocated a numbered ticket upon arrival. It is your responsibility to make sure you keep your ticket safe, as this confirms your place in the queue.

Sunday 15 September / Monday 16 September
- Eldon Square will be open from 8am.
- In true Sephora style, the centre will be buzzing with entertainment and live music throughout the day.
- Sephora will open its doors at 11am
- You will be allocated a numbered ticket upon arrival. It is your responsibility to make sure you keep your ticket safe, as this confirms your place in the queue.
- The first shoppers will receive fantastic giveaways, samples and more – follow @sephorauk for more details!
Important:
Please note that filming/photography will be taking place within Eldon Square throughout the duration of the 13,14 and 15 September.

There will be live entertainment, loud noise and potential flashing lights.
Security
We will have additional security on site to manage the queues and to ensure the smooth running of the event. All our security are first aid trained and on hand to support you with any assistance you may need.
