School Uniform Donation Box
This summer, families visiting the centre can donate any unwanted school uniform to the Community School Clothing Scheme.
The donation box will accept all unwanted and pre-loved school skirts, shirts, dresses, shoes, trousers, and branded jumpers from Friday 16 July to Thursday 2 September. The collection point outside of AllSaints in St Andrew’s Way will support hundreds of children right here in the North East.
This is our third year working with the brilliant folks at the Community School Clothing Scheme. This fantastic charity works hard to make sure every child has what they need for school, and no local family has to struggle to provide school uniforms for their kids.
The Community School Clothing Scheme was set up five years ago by Freema Chambers after struggling to replace her son’s school trousers in times of financial difficulties, often relying on passed down clothing from her friends.
Wanting to help families in a similar situation, Freema started collecting unwanted school uniforms which could then be given to families in need. With the support of the headmaster from her son’s school she was able to collect more and more items of clothing.
Determined to help as many families as she could, Freema created The Community School Clothing Scheme Facebook page and various local collections in the area and now supports hundred of families each year.

We would also like to thank Charles Clinkard for donating a £50 gift card to the charity!
